Missed a delivery while you’ve been at work? Not got round to getting to the post office during your break? No worries! We’ve partnered with InPost to bring parcel lockers to the centre to make online shopping and sending parcels super easy.

📍InPost Locker located at the side of Poundland at the Multi story Car Park.

How do they work?

Whether you’re picking up or dropping off a parcel, all you do is scan a code and the locker door pops open. This locker will be available to use from 06:00 – 00:00 Monday to Sunday. You can collect, return and send parcels with InPost.

What can I do with InPost Lockers?

COLLECT – If you’re worried about parcels not being delivered safely at home, you can choose to collect them from the locker downstairs. This delivery option is available with some of your favourite brands,  including Boohoo, Missguided, Zara, LookFantastic and My Protein. Find out here how it works.

RETURN – Returning parcels is a hassle and too time-consuming, right? Wrong! InPost’s Instant Returns service lets you return parcels in seconds to over 100 different retailers without any label printing. Start your return here.

SEND – If you’re selling something on eBay or sending a gift to a loved one, posting parcels has never been easier or more flexible. The locker will be available during normal business hours.

Did you know?

Getting your parcel delivered to a locker instead of home can reduce carbon emissions. So you can do your bit AND make life more convenient at the same time. Happy days!

There have been some key changes here at George Yard

– The centre has two site-based sustainability champions, they are tasked with ensuring compliance with Savills policies and best practice, they will engage with occupiers sharing ideas and implementing initiatives

– The centre now sends no waste to landfill

–  More waste streams are recycled and has resulted in a 11% increase in recycling. The aim for the end of 2022 is to be recycling 70% of all waste

–  Working with charities such as The Food Bank, Too Good to Go, The Co-Operative, Cancer Research and Farleigh Hospice we have reduced waste by nearly 40%

One of the initiatives that we have been involved with was with Braintree Area Foodbank and Chelmsford Star Co-Op. The food bank provides three days emergency food and support to local people, so Co-Op has been placing posters and collection baskets in their local stores to encourage donations.

At George Yard, we have put stickers on the food bins to let people in crisis know about the Braintree Food Bank and to let them know that they do not have to get their food from waste bins and that there is help and support locally should they need it.
