Braintree Shopmobility

Braintree Shopmobility provides use of Electric Scooters to anyone who has limited mobility due to temporary or permanent disability (for example illness, accident, age or pregnancy) so that they can shop or use other facilities
anywhere in the town centre.

You can pick up a Scooter at George Yard but you must book in advance.

The first time you use a scooter you will be asked for proof of identity. Single uses of the scooter require a minimum £2 donation. To use a scooter regularly, we ask that you become a member of the scheme, which costs £10 per year. This entitles you to ten uses of the scooter and free parking in the multi-storey car–park (when using the members’ Shopmobility car sticker.)

We also have a push wheelchair available, which is free of charge.
