Having a clear out ?

Turning old bras into something for young women in  Africa is the job of charity SmallsForAll.    This is a charity helping women and children in Africa meet their most basic needs by providing them with underwear. Having underwear is something we probably all take for granted, but for some people it’s a luxury they can’t afford.
If you are throwing out any bras, please bring them to George Yard Management  Suite  as  we are making  up a collection to post to SmallsForAlls.

Smalls for All collects and sends underwear to help those in need in countries including Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Madagascar. We were founded by Maria Macnamara in 2010 and since then we have collected over 437,000 items of underwear. We partner with other specialist charities to help us reach those in need. For example, we work closely with Freedom from Fistula Foundation to provide underwear to their fistula patients. Obstetric fistula is a horrid condition virtually unknown now in the Western world but all too common in Africa and other under-developed countries. At Smalls for All we use the funds we raise to support our work collecting and donating underwear, and to help pay for the education of children and young adults in Africa too. Our founder Maria Macnamara has received a “Point of Light Award” for her work with Smalls and in 2016 was also honoured with an MBE. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smalls-for-All/126999917379012.
